Bastide du Claux – An escargot in a cypress

Image 1

The Bastide du Claux was born in 2002 from the strong will to associate Sylvain Morey’s traditional burgundian vision of the winemaking craft with the new dynamic of a rising wine region: the Luberon AOC.

In the authentic and protected Provence, in the heart of the Luberon National Park, the Bastide du Claux grows a fragmented 15 ha vineyard. Offering a rich combination of soils, climates and exposures, the land dictates our work : to highlight its characteristics, to respect its natural balance , and to preserve the right gesture.

Year after year, this search has led us to isolate certain qualitatively superior terroirs to define a range of wines that are intended to reflect the individuality of this beautiful region.

In recognition of this philosophy , Bastide du Claux became a member of “Les Gobeloteurs ” ( ), a group of generous winemakers gathering some of the most exciting
French winemakers.
